One of the most popular fortified churches in Transylvania. Unfortunately, only the outer wall and towers can be visited partially.
The part that can be visited is in good condition and contains a very interesting museum about the village of Viscri and the life of the population.
Personally, I think there are fortified churches that deserve more than this, hence the 4-star rating.

I had a very pleasant experience visiting the fortified church in Viscri. It is well maintained and managed. You can also find exhibitions about the Saxons of old, with customs, costumes and specific objects.

One of the best‑preserved fortified churches in Transylvania (built c.13–14th century) and part of UNESCO heritage. The village itself hasn’t changed much in nearly 200 years, which makes the whole area feel truly special.
Plan for 2.5–3 hours: explore the fortification walls, preserved chambers with old household tools, the beautiful small church, climb the tower for 360° panoramic views, and don’t miss the Transylvanian terracotta tiles exhibition. The entrance fees was just under €5.
Easily one of the top 3 sights to see in Transylvania.
